Letter From the Coordinator
The fall is a very busy time for F&M and the Chairman's Club. We had a great time traveling on the trips documented in this edition of The F&M Times and also had plenty going on inside our offices.
In October, we hosted a free luncheon for women business leaders and entrepreneurs. The event kicked off our fall series of Ladies Who Launch seminars. More than 50 local women came to network and hear our guest speaker. We also welcomed internationally acclaimed author p.m. terrell to a book signing held at our main office in Columbia. (Be sure to read about it on page 8 of the F&M Times.)
However, my favorite activities were our F&M tailgating parties. Nothing beats the excitementof football time in Tennessee. Throughout October and November, the Hatcher Lane, Mt. Pleasant, Spring Hill, and Main offices held special customer appreciation cookouts on the Fridays prior to Tennessee Titans home games. There was plenty of free food and fun times to go around.
I'm also proud to announce that the first class of F&M University graduated on Nov. 15. F&M University, our recently established employee education program, is designed to teach participants about the banking industry, pass on F&M history, build closer relationships between employees and help guarantee success by educating the bank's future leaders.
The class met for six months to listen to lectures taught by F&M officers and employees on subjects such as sales, bank operations, trust services, credit administration, banking etiquette, the history of F&M and the future of banking. The class also successfully completed a project that will benefit the bank.
I would like to congratulate all the graduates of F&M University's first class. They are: Nicole Hall, Lynn Ross, Matt Patterson, Jamie Hollis, Donna Griggs, Aftan Faulkner, Stephen Hughes, Jennifer Hall, Nancy Wiley, Felicia Brown, Katie Scott, Michelle Gardner, Frann Mabry and April Bobb.
See you on the road,

Tiby Ferguson,
Chairman's Club Coordinator
