Step Up Savings System

If you're looking for a traditional savings account, F&M has a bonus in store for you: your interest rates "step up" automatically through six levels as your balance grows.

Tier 1: $0.00 to $9,999.99
Tier 2: $10,000.00 to $49,999.99
Tier 3: $50,000.00 to $99,999.99
Tier 4: $100,000.00 to $499,999.99
Tier 5: $500,000.00 to $999,999.99
Tier 6: $1,000,000.00 and above
  • Interest accrues on the daily ledger balance and is credited monthly.
  • You may access your Step-Up Savings System account with your F&M automatic teller card.
  • The bank provides you with personalized deposit and withdrawal tickets.
  • You may authorize automatic deposits from your F&M checking account into your Step-Up Savings System account.
  • No monthly maintenance fee with a minimum daily balance of $125 or more.
  • No monthly maintenance fee for minors, full-time students through age 22, and persons age 62 and older.

Step-Up Savings Fees
Interest accrues on the daily balance and is credited monthly. Interest rates increase automatically as balance grows.

Transaction Limitations
Transactions are limited as follows:

  • Teller transfers/withdrawals are limited to four (4) per month.
  • Transfers/withdrawals to another account or preauthorized, automatic or telephone transfers/withdrawals are limited to three (3) per month and one (1) ATM transfer/withdrawal, or any combination of the above, not to exceed three (3) preauthorized, automatic or telephone transfers/withdrawals per month.
  • Activity fee for exceeding withdrawal/transfer limit:
    $15.00 per excess transaction. It is a regulatory requirement that accounts be closed for repeated violations of excessive withdrawal limitations. See account disclosure for more details.
